THEME: Filipino Tattoo Arts (any tattoo style, including Flash art)
The Circle of Filipino Tattoo Arts is happy to invite tattoo artists, tattooed persons and photographers to share tattoo art of the Filipino Diaspora and the Philippines. This project aims to provide a platform to foster dialogue, artistic expression, and drive innovation in the tattoo arts toward the goal of creating a contemporary tattoo book and archival website about Filipino tattoos.
REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility:
1) any style tattoo by tattoo artists or art enthusiasts (i.e. tattooed persons) of Filipino descent.
2) Filipino inspired tattoo art by any tattoo artist or art enthusiast
Total Media: Minimum: 2, Maximum: 5
You must own the rights to all photos submitted. Image release form required upon submission.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
1) Entrants must use the Filipino Tattoo Arts submission system (see next column).
2) Image resolution no smaller than 1200 pixels and no larger than 4600 pixels (long dimension). Files must not exceed 10MB. 300 dpi is best.
3) Before uploading, please name the file containing only the following info: Your last name-first name_image number.jpg
You MUST title each image; “untitled” is not allowed.
DEADLINES & INFORMATION
• Applicant submission deadline: Extended to Augst 31, 2024 (midnight, PST)
• Announcement of book publication date: December 31, 2024
• Opening of Filipino Tattoo Arts Online Gallery: TBD
• Onsite Exhibition and Book Launch: TBA
After completion of the survey, we will follow up on how to upload your photos. At least one (1) photo, up to five (5) of your tattoo art (flash may be included) will be considered.
Please include description of uploaded photos. Feel free to include the name of your client, city, state, and/or date of completion. Additional details and/or stories related to the tattoo may also be included.
